Post image for Review of “The Flat Belly Diet! For Men”.

Recently released by the publishers of Prevention magazine,  The Flat Belly Diet! For Men has had quite a lot of hype since it hit the bookshelves.

A spin off of the popular Flat Belly Diet, this book is reported to be revamped specifically for men to help guys of all ages reclaim their washboard abs.

Ummm, what about guys like me who have never had them?

To be honest, while it’s a nice thought to have washboard abs, I don’t mind if I don’t get them. I just want to fit my jeans again.

When I talk with my patients they are pretty much the same. Let’s forget about the washboard abs!

How about being able to seeing my toes when in the shower? How about not getting short of breath when putting on shoes?

This aside, The Flat Belly Diet! For Men is a good guide for those who wish to reduce their waistline, and yes perhaps even to get those washboard abs, but to be honest I am not prepared to go those extra miles. I’m happy getting back into the jeans I owned when I was in my 20′s.

One of the main factors that has made The Flat Belly Diet popular is that it is more about healthy eating rather than a diet.

If you are eating plenty of good quality meats, fresh vegetables and fruit, you might find this book does not really shed much more light on ways to increase fat loss.

If however, your favourite cooking utensil is a portable phone, or you are on a first name basis with the cashiers at McDonalds, Pizza Hut and your local fish and chip shop, then you may very well learn a lot from this book.

My suggestion is to hold off buying The Flat Belly Diet! For Men for the moment.

Over the next few weeks I will be adding top tips on weight loss for men.
